Mobile Device Security Researcher

Job Description

CMDSP is looking for a technical researcher in the areas of mobile and network security that is skilled working in an environment with minimum supervision and is interested in project ownership. The scope of the research will be focused within the mobile security industry. The individual will apply their academic expertise to identify, research, and provide documentation to assist in the creation of mobile security standards.

This role will grow into a product ownership position where a person with strong organizational skills and the ability to schedule multiple tasks and deadlines will succeed.

Desired Skills & Experience

Technical Requirements/Skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills a must
• Strong interest on cyber security and information assurance
• Academic background or interest in research
• Willingness to travel if needed

Knowledge in the following areas would be helpful

• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems at all layers (boot, kernel space, user space)
• Familiarity with wireless/mobile technologies
• Knowledge of general security principles, protocols, and infrastructures
• Understanding of consumer electronics devices
• High level of personal organization, persistence, and attention to detail
• Product/project management experience a plus
• On-line course development experience a plus

Educational Requirements

4 year degree, preferably in IS, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
