CMDSP APPLICATION
Before applying for CMDSP, remember that requirements
for this certification include the following:
Experience: 1 year of experience if you have a professional
certification related to information security, software architecture, engineering, or computer security. 1.5 years of experience if you have a qualifying college degree, or 3 or more years work experience in a mobile security field. These credits are additive, meaning that if you have a qualifying degree, maintain a professional certification, and have worked for
half a year in the industry, you meet the experience requirement.
I maintain a professional certifcation in Information Security, Software Architecture, Engineering, or a related area of computer security
I have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 1.5 years of experience.
I have a total of 3 years of experience in Education, Other Certifications, or Other Information Security Training, all in
relation to managing mobile devices within an enterprise.
Describe your experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) Software. Describe your experience in running a Mobile Strategy for your organization or any organization in the past. Competency in this domain includes: knowledge of BYOD or COPE policies and related legal issues; managing and securing multiple mobile Operating Systems within a network.
Describe your experience with Mobile Applications. Competency in this domain includes: developing apps; reviewing apps; creating data access/permissions; database usage; publishing requirements; using simulators/emulators; applying secure coding practices; and integrating backend legacy Enterprise Systems to Employee Devices.
Describe your experience with Mobile Connectivity. Competency in this domain includes: securing data connections with cloud environments, cellular/WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC; using network tools; and managing denial of access.
Describe your experience with Device File Structures. Competency in this domain includes: knowledge of device storage and retrieval data; the management of backups, databases and locations; working with database and XML schemas; use of XML on devices; and managing access control.
Describe your experience with Vulnerabilities. Competency in this domain includes: knowledge of known vulnerable areas; diagnosing the location of future exploits in applications, users, computer systems, cloud based connections, and file systems.
